Crown Street, East Sydney


 

This iconic Functionalist Style building has served as a car sales and service building since 1938. The adaptive reuse of this heritage listed building integrated a number of new uses into the building including a supermarket, a private hospital facility, and medical tenancies on level 6 with associated parking at level 3. Residential units are incorporated at levels 7 and 8 with associated parking & direct lift access. 

A key principle of the adaptive reuse of heritage buildings is to retain and where appropriate repair the building such that it remains recognisable and can be enjoyed & interpreted by future generations.
