The existing site of the Parklea Markets is to be redeveloped as a special uses precinct retaining the existing markets and incorporating a 336 room hotel, a 21000m2 Exhibition / Convention Centre, a Growers Markets of 17,000m2 and car parking for approximately 3800 cars.
The proposed buildings will showcase exemplary contemporary architecture with environmental sustainability forming a fundamental tenant of the design philosophy. The site offers the opportunity to regenerate the natural watercourse and integrate the public outdoor spaces within a landscape setting.
